When you license a beat or sound pack from Echoholics Records, these terms describe what you can do with it. They apply to every beat purchase, including beats claimed through a Beat Vault membership.
Please read section 06 before buying an Exclusive license. It covers something people are often surprised by, and we’d rather you knew first.
01
You’re buying permission to use a piece of music we made. You’re not buying the music itself.
We keep ownership of the underlying composition and recording. You get a license to use it in your own work, on the terms below, for as long as the license lasts. Every license is personal to you and can’t be sold, lent, or transferred to anyone else.

Echoholics Records retains ownership of the composition and master. |
The terms that applied on the day you bought are the terms you hold, even if we change our pricing or tiers afterward. We save a copy of your license with your order — that snapshot is the version that governs your use.
03
04
A note on content ID. If you upload your finished song to a content-ID system, do not claim the instrumental itself. Other people hold licenses to the same beat, and a false claim will block their releases. We take this seriously and it’s grounds for terminating your license.
05
Publishing is split 50/50 between you and Echoholics Records on any song you make using our beat, on every tier including Exclusive. You own your lyrics and topline; we retain our share of the underlying composition.
Credit is required in the format Prod. [producer name] in the track title, description, or liner notes, whichever the platform allows.
06
An Exclusive license removes the beat from sale, so nobody can license it after you.
It does not cancel licenses already sold. Anyone who bought a Basic, Professional or Unlimited license before your purchase keeps it, and may keep using the beat until their two-year term runs out. This includes beats claimed through Beat Vault memberships.
We can’t undo licenses we’ve already granted — those are contracts we’ve entered into, and cancelling them retroactively would be unfair to the people who bought in good faith. What you’re buying is that nobody new can license it.
If it matters to you how many licenses have already been sold on a particular beat, ask us before you buy. We’ll tell you honestly. It’s a fair question and we’d rather answer it than have you find out afterward.
07
Beat Vault members receive one free Basic license each month. That license is a full Basic license under these terms — the same rights, the same two-year term, the same publishing split.
A claimed license survives cancellation. If you cancel your membership, you keep every beat you claimed for the remainder of its term. Cancelling stops future claims; it doesn’t take back what you’ve already licensed.
08
Sound packs, sample packs and similar downloads are licensed for use in your own productions. You may use the sounds in commercial releases. You may not redistribute the sounds themselves, in whole or in part, as a sample pack, preset bank, or sound library.
Sound pack licenses do not expire and do not carry a publishing split.
09
Non-exclusive licenses run for two years from the date of purchase. After that, you’d need to renew or upgrade to keep the release available commercially.
We currently don’t automatically remove access to files when a term ends, and we’ll give reasonable notice before changing that. Being able to download the file isn’t the same as holding a current license — the term is what governs your use.
10
Beat and sound licenses are delivered immediately and are not refundable once downloaded. This is standard for digital licensing, and it’s why we let you preview every beat in full before buying.
If a file is corrupt, incomplete, or not what was described, contact us and we’ll fix it or refund you.
11
If you use a beat outside these terms, we’ll contact you first and give you a chance to put it right. We’d much rather resolve something than escalate it.
If it isn’t resolved, we may terminate the license, in which case you’d need to stop distributing the release. Serious cases — reselling beats, false content-ID claims — may be terminated immediately.
12
We may update these terms for future purchases. Changes never apply retroactively. The version saved with your order is the one that governs your license.
13
Not sure which license you need, or whether something you’re planning is covered?
Email support@echoholics.com and ask. We’d rather answer beforehand than sort it out afterward.
