Demo Submission Terms

These terms apply whenever you submit a demo, track, or other creative work to Echoholics Records for consideration — through our submission form, by email, or any other way. By submitting, you agree to them.

We’ve kept this short, but please actually read it. It protects you as much as it protects us.

Submitting doesn't create a deal

Sending us a demo is not a contract, an offer, or a promise of any kind. It doesn’t obligate us to:

  • Listen to it within any particular time
  • Respond to you at all
  • Give feedback
  • Sign, release, or work with you
  • Keep your submission confidential

If we’re interested, we’ll reach out and any real terms — a release deal, a production credit, a licensing arrangement — would be put in a separate, signed agreement. Nothing here is that agreement.

You keep your rights

Submitting a demo doesn’t transfer any ownership, copyright, or rights to Echoholics Records. It’s still your work. We don’t gain any license to use, distribute, or exploit it just because you sent it to us.

If we ever want to use your submission for something — a release, a sync placement, a feature — we’ll ask, and we’ll put it in writing before anything moves forward.

We may already be doing something similar

We hear a lot of music, work with a lot of creators, and have our own projects in progress. It’s possible we’re already working on something similar to what you send us — a similar sound, a similar concept, even a similar song idea.

Submitting doesn’t give you a claim over something we were already doing independently. If you’re concerned about a specific, unusual idea, our suggestion is not to include it in an open submission — reach out and ask how we handle that first.

It isn't confidential

Please don’t submit anything you consider a trade secret or that you need kept confidential. We don’t sign NDAs for open submissions, and we can’t promise confidentiality for something sent to a general inbox or form.

What you're confirming when you submit

By submitting, you’re telling us:

  • You wrote or performed this, or you have the right to submit it. Don’t send us someone else’s work without their permission.
  • It doesn’t infringe anyone else’s copyright, including uncleared samples.
  • You’re old enough to enter into this agreement — 18, or you have a parent or guardian’s permission to submit on your behalf.

We may remove or decline submissions

We can decline, ignore, or remove any submission for any reason, including content that’s explicit beyond what we work with, offensive, or that we believe infringes someone else’s rights.

If you’re planning to submit something you want handled differently than described here — under NDA, as part of an existing conversation, anything unusual — email us first at support@echoholics.com rather than sending it through the open form.
